Jomsom Muktinath Pilgrim Trek is the most popular trekking trail in the Annapurna region. The trek is also a part of the Annapurna Circuit trek. The Jomsom Muktinath Trekking starts with a flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. Located at a height of 2,800 meters, Jomsom is the district headquarters of Mustang district. The trek starts with a walk along the river bank with spectacular Nilgiri and Tukuche peaks on the horizon. The trail takes the trekkers to Muktinath via Kagbeni, a Tibetan village. Muktinath temple is one of the most important highlights of the trek. Muktinath temple carries great significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. The name Muktinath means- the land of Salvation. It is visited by thousands of Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrims every year.

The trail then passes through Marpha -the village of orchards and Tatopani natural hot springs to reach the beautiful Magar village of Ghorepani. Where the most spectacular mountain views can be observed. Further from Ghorepani, the trail continues to Nayapul where the trek concludes. The scenery of the trail ranges from the forests of brilliant red rhododendrons in Ghorepani to the rocky cliffs and desert of Mustang.
