Today you will get into a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, the gateway to the Annapurna Circuit. Driving takes about 6-7 hours and 175 km. through the beautiful hills and the Trishuli River. As you leave the bustling capital, enjoy the view of terracing fields and traditional villages. Sightseeing around the town, resupply your needs from the shops and eateries. This will be your last opportunity to enjoy city luxuries before you get to trek into the challenging terrains. Today we will do a Jeep drive from Besisahar to Chame, which takes approximately 5-6 hours of trekking. The route takes one through more picturesque landscapes, lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and stunning mountain views. You will witness the cultural shift in villages, turning into pure Tibetan influences as one travels deeper into the Annapurna region. Upon arrival in Chame, get around this beautiful village and do some shopping. Take a rest and acclimatize yourself for the upcoming trek at higher altitudes.
