Gosaikunda Trekking is one of the most popular cultural treks in the Himalayas of Nepal. This trek will take you to the altitude of 4,300 meters. Gosaikunda Trekking trail includes beautiful rhododendron & pine forests, rivers, streams, several small villages, meadows, and cultivated fields. The trail go through several ascends and descends on a steep section also rugged path, which make this trek more adventurous and challenging.

Further, the trail includes yak cheese factory, which is also considered as the best cheese of Nepal. We will see numerous cultural villages. If we are lucky enough, we will also get to witness the rarer Red Pandas and other wildlife on our way.
On clear days, we will also get to see wonderful views of Annapurna Ranges (8,091 m). We will cross several ridges and reach Gosaikunda. Gosaikunda is known as the holy lake. Moreover, the region includes about a dozen lakes in the Gosainkunda Basin but, Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosainkunda are the main three lakes. It is believed that Lord Shiva created Gosaikunda Lake when he intruded a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed a poison that threatened to destroy the world. Many devotees visit this lake every year to take bath in this holy lake. It’s also have belief that, if you will take bath in this holy lake all of your sins and diseases will get washed off.

Itinerary
Waking up early in the morning, we will have breakfast and leave for Syabru Bensi. The route will be on the winding road and goes through Trisuli Bazar. If the weather is fine, we will get to see views of Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m),Ganesh Himal (7,422 m), Mt. Manaslu (8,156 m). We will stay overnight in the guesthouse.
After having breakfast, we will begin trekking along the Langtang Khola. Ascending and descending through rhododendron and oak forests, we will cross a bridge over the Langtang Khola. From here, we will ascend steeply to reach Lama Hotel.
We will ascend along with the lovely scenes of landscape and waterfalls. We will reach green meadows of Ghoda Tabela from where we will see panoramic views of Langtang Range. Further, we will continue ascending on a widening valley, passing through small settlements. From here, crossing a monastery will take us to Langtang village. We will stay overnight in the guesthouse.
After breakfast, we begin trekking towards Kyanjin Gompa. Kyanjin Gompa is the main monastery of this region. On the way, we will pass by prayer wheels, water mills, chortens, and enormous rocks with inscriptions carved on them. We will reach Kyanjin Gompa and spend rest of the day exploring this gompa and nearby area. We will stay overnight in the lodge.
Today, we are going to trek back to Lama Hotel. We will descend on the same trail through dense forest and small Tamang Villages. On the way back we will enjoy wonderful views of the Himalayas. We will stay overnight in the guesthouse.
We will begin descending on a landslide area and further, ascend towards Thulo Syabru. If we are lucky, then we can see rare Red Pandas on our way. Thulo Syabru is a beautiful village resided by Sherpas. We will get to experience their tradition and culture. This village will also present enchanting views of Langtang Range, Ganesh Himal, and many other mountains.
Today the trek begins with the steep climb towards Foprang Danda (3200 meters) going through Dursagang (2660 meters). The trail will present incredible views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Hemlock, Tibetan Forests, and dense sub-tropical woodlands. Upon reaching Singompa, we will visit a yak cheese factory and an ancient Buddhist monastery. Moreover, the cheese of this factory is considered as the best cheese in Nepal.
We will gradually ascend to Lauribinayak and continue ascending steeply towards Gosaikunda. The trail will offer breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal Range, Langtang Range, Manaslu Range, and Tibetan Peaks. Crossing a small ridge, we will get to see first glimpse of the holy lake of Gosaikunda. There are about a dozen lakes in the Gosainkunda Basin but, Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosainkunda are the main three lakes. After having some rest, we will explore the area and stay overnight in a guesthouse.
We are going to trek back to Thulo Syabru. We will trek on the same trail as we came. Even though the trail is same, we will feel different surrounding. Trekking along the beautiful mountain sceneries we will reach Thulo Syabru where we will be staying for a night.
After having breakfast, we will trek towards Dhunche. The trail will be going to be short and easy. We will descend all the way down to Dhunche along with the beautiful views of the surrounding. Upon reaching Dhunche, we will freshen up and later explore the area.
After having the breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu in a private tourist bus/van. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will be taken to our hotel. In the evening, we will do shopping and stroll in the colorful and lovely streets of Thamel. Later, we will have a farewell dinner and stay overnight in the hotel.
